BUF - Buffalo Niagara International Airport Information

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) services Western New York and Southern Ontario with 110 daily flights and nonstop flights to 23 airports. BUF On-Airport Short Term Parking (Daily Parking or Hourly Parking)

There is one short term parking location at the Buffalo Airport, the Short Term Garage, which is labeled with red parking signs. The garage is within walking distance of the terminal, but one must walk outside and cross the access road that is between the garage and terminal. The rates for the short term parking garage are $4.00 per hour with a $24.00 daily maximum and $168.00 weekly maximum. BUF On-Airport Long Term Parking

When Parking at the Buffalo Airport there are three options for Long Term Parking. The closest to the terminal is the Preferred Long Term Parking lot, which is labeled with green signs. The Preferred Long Term Parking is located on South and East side of the Short Term Parking Garage. It is about a 10 minute walk to the terminal or there is a free shuttle. The rates for Preferred Long Term Parking are:

$4.00 for 2 to 3 hours and $1.oo for each additional hour
$13.00 per day maximum
$78.00 per week maximum

The next closest long term parking is the Long Term A, which is labeled with orange signs. Depending on where you are parked on the lot it could be as little as a 15 minute walk to the terminal and their are free shuttle busses that go to/from the terminal. Long Term A is located East of the Short Term Garage. The rates for this lot are the same as the Long Term Preferred; however the daily maximum is lowered to $11.00 per day and the weekly maximum is $55.00 per day. The final on-airport long term parking option at the Buffalo Airport is Long Term B. This lot is the least expensive on-airport option but is not accessible from the airport entrance. Long Term B is located on the East side of the airport and to reach this lot form the 33 (Kensington Expressway), one makes a right on Genesee Road, drives past the airport and makes a left on Holtz. The rates are the same as the other Long Term Parking, but with the daily maximum reduced to $10.00 and the weekly maximum reduced to $50.00.

The Buffalo Airport offers a couple options to pay for parking so airport patrons can try and avoid the check out lines. The first is an Express Pass program for paying for parking, where one uses an EZ Pass type device to pay. The Express Pass also includes a frequent parker program where one earns points toward free parking. More information is available on the Buffalo Airport web site. The other option is Self-Pay lanes, which are credit card only.

BUF Off-Airport Long Term Parking

Because of the time it takes to get from the On-Airport Long Term Parking lots to the terminal via the shuttle, off-airport parking is popular at the Buffalo Airport. The four off-airport parking options are actually closer to the airport than Long Term B and from a time standpoint are a shorter shuttle ride to the terminal. In fact, if you are driving from the Kensington Expressway (route 33) to Long Term B on Genesee Road you drive past all four off-airport BUF airport parking lots. So, unless you plan on walking to the terminal the four off-airport long term parking lots are a great alternative.
